I've been suggesting to him that he tries a Pook in a bottle to see if it sells. I badly need to get some funding for caring for all these birds and he has done this one to see if it would sell. This is a pook on a raft hanging on to a bottle of wine for dear life until the raft reaches land. I think it is quite cute. Going to try it on trademe.co.nz

ReplyDeleteI have been enjoying your photos. Try as I might I can't take a decent photo of the wild Kereru in my Miro tree. ( an on going challenge for me ! )
One of my very favourite birds is Ruru so I was delighted to see you have a close up photo of one.
We find pukekos amd rosellas both are pests in our orchard. Puks eating mature kiwifruit and Rosellas doing the parrot thing and playing at peaking off the buds before flowering - they hang down as a challenge for them.
