Self and Pukeko friends are having a bit of fun and madness drumming up votes. This is our Press Release and Campaign button -

PRESS RELEASE :
Local Pukeko, Pavarotti Jackson, has announced he will put himself forward
for re-selection to Forest and Bird's Top New Zealand Bird list this
year.
In 2009 Pav, and The Pukeko Party, took themselves from relative obscurity
to 10th spot on the list of dozens.
Pav is confident they will do even better this year with your support.
On-line voting for the 2010 list begins on September 13th at www.forestandbird.org.nz.
At his recent campaign launch, Pav said that in these early days of the public face of the Pukeko party, members do not expect to take the top few spots, but they will be around for the long haul in the years to come.
He hopes, with increased awareness, New Zealanders will realise the true value of pooks to society and the economy and they might, one day, become national icons
The benefits they offer are that they are not endangered, they don’t hide themselves away, they do fly, and they are devastatingly attractive. They come in New Zealand’s traditional colours of red, white and blue – and black. Perfect for inclusion on future flag designs.
It goes without saying, they are smart. They already have their own television spots promoting community well-being with their energy-saving and safety tips.
So don’t forget to vote PUKEKO at www.forestandbird.org.nz Top Bird poll from September 13th.
Pav would also like to remind voters and supporters that spring is an excellent time to begin cultivating ginormous green bean crops .
