I want to get Paradise Shelducks voted bird of the year! Doubt it will happen but if you could cast a vote for my Shelduck, Daisy, it would be great. They are such neat birds.
I do bird rescue in Russell, Bay of Islands, New Zealand ... native and exotic birds, anything that needs my help. (If you click on thumbnails of photos, you can see larger versions).
I voted, Gilly! Not too many votes going out for Shelducks, though. I will direct my blog-friends to help stuff the ballot box! How long does the voting period last? I couldn't find it on the website.
